WGNO/ABC 26 Nominated for Nine Emmy Awards – Station Nominated for Most Awards in New Orleans Market

Best Arts/Entertainment, Best On-Camera Talent, Best Crime Reporting, Best Historic/Cultural News, Best Photographer 

WGNO, Tribune Broadcasting’s ABC Television Network affiliate for the greater New Orleans area, is pleased to announce the station has been nominated for nine Emmy Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Suncoast Chapter. This is the most nominations the station has received in its history. The award ceremony will be held on December 5, 2015.

“WGNO made history this year with the most EMMY nominations ever at our station, and we tied for top EMMY nominations in New Orleans, said News Director Rick Erbach. “This is a nice mix. It’s awesome to see our product from so many different areas –WGNO News, News with a Twist, and Creative Services receiving acknowledgment from our industry peers. A hearty congratulations to all of our nominees.”
