Ed Daniels Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
New Orleans- July 21, 2014– WGNO, Tribune Broadcasting’s ABC Television Network affiliate for the greater New Orleans area, is proud to announce the station has been honored with 5 Awards by the Press Club of New Orleans. In addition, Ed Daniels was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication and passion for high school sports and more than three decades of covering news, sports, and hurricanes in New Orleans.
The Press Club of New Orleans honors the elite of Louisiana State broadcasting. The Lifetime Achievement Award is the organization’s most prestigious honor.
“I am so proud of these folks. Ed, Paul, Kenny, and Alyson are tireless professionals and awesome storytellers. They strive daily to give our viewers the best story possible,” said Rick Erbach, News Director, WGNO.
The 56th Annual Excellence in Journalism Awards Gala was held at the Harrah’s Casino Theatre in New Orleans on July 19. The following are WGNO’s 2014 Press Club Awards:
