CW33 Dallas/Fort Worth Wins Three Lone Star Emmy Awards

CW33 (KDAF-TV), Tribune Broadcasting’s Dallas/Fort Worth CW affiliate, congratulates its two Emmy winners for bringing home three awards from this weekend’s Lone Star Emmy Gala.  The awards were presented Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the 13th Annual Lone Star Emmy Awards in Austin, Texas.  All three Emmys recognized work from NewsFix, CW33’s alternative evening newscast.  Steve Simon, News Director of NewsFix, won two Emmy Awards for his “Simon Says” franchise and Nathan Bickell picked up an award for his recurring news series, “Ruff Life”.  This was Bickell’s first Emmy, while the two additional awards make Simon a five-time Emmy winner.
