Station Honored for Best Feature Reporting, Best Sports Reporting and Best Use of Sound/Video
Only Station in US to Receive 3 National Awards
Tribune Broadcasting is pleased to announce WTVR/CBS 6 in Richmond, VA has been awarded three National Edward R. Murrow Awards by the Radio Television Digital News Association, the only station in the country to receive three national honors.
This year, RTDNA awarded 98 national Edward R. Murrow Awards in 13 categories, with WTVR winning three awards: Best Feature Reporting, Best Sports Reporting and Best Use of Sound/Video. The awards will be presented at a ceremony in New York on October 6.
RTDNA has been honoring outstanding achievements in journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971; the awards recognize the best journalism produced by radio, television and online news organizations around the world. Last month, 8 of Tribune Broadcasting’s television stations were awarded a total of 15 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards.
