08 Jun WTVR/Richmond, VA Named Station of the Year by the National Press Photographers Association
Tribune Broadcasting is pleased to announce WTVR/CBS 6 in Richmond, VA has been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) as Station of the Year (Medium Markets) at the 2015 Best of Photojournalism ceremony held in in Seattle, WA on June 5th.
The National Press Photographers Association is dedicated to the advancement of visual journalism in all news media. This is the first time WTVR has received this honor, which recognizes the hard work and creativity of Chief Photographer Brad Wilson, as well as all of the station’s photographers: Eli Gardiner, Chris Munnings, Jack Rusak, Chris Norton, Lamar Person, Chris Jenkins, Bria White and Dustin Kelley.
“We have a talented group of photojournalists that look to provide viewers with captivating video, moments, and stories on a daily basis,” says Chief Photographer Brad Wilson. “As storytellers, we strive for the viewer to not only watch a story, but to see it, hear it, and most importantly, feel it. This is an amazing honor awarded to us by the NPPA.”
