28 Apr WNBA’s Connecticut Sun Reaches Agreement with Fox 61 and WCCT to Televise Seven Games
April 28, 2016 – The WNBA’s Connecticut Sun announced today it will partner with Fox 61 and WCCT-TV, Tribune Broadcasting’s Hartford station, which will broadcast seven road games in 2016.
The first broadcast will be from Seattle on May 28th.
“We are really happy to announce this new deal with Fox 61 and WCCT-TV,” Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko said. “We have a very loyal fan-base that has made it clear they would like to keep up with our team on the road. This broadcast schedule will make that possible.”
The rest of the schedule includes May 31st at Phoenix, June 12th at Atlanta, June 26th at Los Angeles, July 2nd at Dallas and August 28th at Atlanta.

The first independently owned WNBA franchise, the Connecticut Sun have been one of the most successful teams in the league, advancing to the playoffs eight times with five trips to the Eastern Conference Finals and two appearances in the WNBA Finals. First-year coach Curt Miller takes over a talented young lineup that includes 2014 WNBA Rookie of the Year Chiney Ogwumike, 2015 All Stars Alex Bentley and Kelsey Bone and 2016 first-round draft picks Morgan Tuck, Rachel Banham and Jonquel Jones.
