WGNO/ABC Nominated for 9 Emmy Awards

Including Best Arts/Entertainment, Best Talent, Best Writer, Best Historical/Cultural and Best Human Interest

October 17, 2016 – WGNO, Tribune Broadcasting’s ABC Television Network affiliate for the greater New Orleans area, is pleased to announce the station has been nominated for nine Emmy Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Suncoast Chapter.

The station’s News department was nominated for seven awards, including Best Arts/Entertainment, Best Historical/Cultural, Best Talent, Best Writer and Best Human Interest.

WGNO’s Creative Services team was nominated for two awards including Best Writer for WGNO’s “God Bless Louisiana,” for which the station’s ongoing campaign has won Emmy Awards for the last two consecutive years.
