WGNO (ABC) New Orleans Wins Two Emmy Awards

Including Best Arts/Entertainment and Best Promotion Campaign

WGNO, Tribune Broadcasting’s ABC Television Network affiliate for the greater New Orleans area, is pleased to announce the station has been awarded two Emmy Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Suncoast Chapter.

WGNO made history this year with 9 Emmy Award nominations, the most ever at the station, ultimately winning in two categories.  Creative Services Producer Bobby Childs received an Arts/Entertainment Emmy for his compelling story “The Art of Body Painting” which aired on WGNO’s eccentric News with a Twist.  The station’s Creative Services team won Best Promotion Campaign for WGNO’s “God Bless Louisiana,” the second consecutive year the ongoing campaign has won in this prestigious category.
