24 Feb WGN-TV Presents Special “Blackhawks Extra: Soldier Field”
And Chance To Win Tickets To Blackhawks-Penguins Stadium Series Game
This Friday, February 28 at 9:30pm, WGN Sports will present Blackhawks Extra: Soldier Field, a half-hour intimate look at the upcoming Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, March 1. WGN’s Pat Tomasulo, Rich King, and Steve Konroyd take viewers inside Soldier Field’s transformation into an NHL rink and feature interviews with Blackhawks players, head coach Joel Quenneville and NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman. This highly anticipated match-up follows games played earlier this season at legendary venues Dodger Stadium and Yankee Stadium.
Additionally, WGN Morning News is giving away four pairs of tickets to the game, with partner Discover Card. In order to win, viewers will have to watch WGN Morning News Tuesday through Thursday for a code word, which can then be entered at WGNtv.com/contests.
The Coors Light NHL Stadium Series Game will be the first NHL game to be hosted at Soldier Field. The Chicago Blackhawks previously hosted an outdoor NHL game in 2009 at Wrigley Field.
