26 Oct WGN Radio’s Stephanie Menendez Promoted to Director of News & Operations
October 26, 2017 – WGN Radio announced that Stephanie Menendez has been promoted to Director of News & Operations.
“Stephanie has the zest our team needs to tell remarkable Chicago stories,” said Todd Manley, Vice President of Content & Programming. “Every day I’m grateful for the way she leads and collaborates.”
Menendez has been an integral part of WGN Radio since 2008. A native of Louisiana, she rose through the ranks, from producer and Assistant Program Director to Operations Manager. As executive producer, Menendez was instrumental in leading the successful reunion of Wendy Snyder and Bill Leff on WGN Radio in 2013. She began her career as an intern at WLS-TV and a producer at WYCC-TV prior to joining Tribune Media.
“I am excited for this opportunity to lead our news team as we continue to curate strong content 24/7,” said Stephanie Menendez. “We have the best team of journalists, hosts and producers in the city and I look forward to seeking innovative ways to further expand WGN Radio’s presence in the digital space.”
