08 Mar WGN Radio’s “Mr. Fix-It” Lou Manfredini Contract Extended
March 7, 2016 – WGN Radio is pleased to announce a contract extension with host and 2015 Walk of Fame inductee Lou Manfredini through December 31, 2020.
For more than 20 years, Chicagoland native Lou Manfredini has been a familiar and favorite voice on the station, priding itself on being live and local. He began his career at WGN Radio in 1995 as a guest
on the Bob Collins Show when he was given the nickname “Mr. Fix It.” Lou Manfredini continues to answer listeners’ home improvement questions on “The Mr. Fix-It Show,” the #1 Saturday morning
radio program in Chicago.
“Lou remains the classic neighborhood laborer with a razor sharp wit. Yet, his great work on the radio is still eclipsed by a passion for community service,” said Vice President of Programming and Content Todd Manley. “We want Lou in the WGN family for a long, long time!”
Lou is also a regular contributor to NBC’s Today Show, WGN-TV’s morning news and hosts the national home improvement program HouseSmarts.
The Mr. Fix-It Show with Lou Manfredini can be heard on Saturdays from 7am to 10am in 38 states and Canada, as well as streamed worldwide on the WGN Radio mobile apps, wgnradio.com, TuneIn and iHeartRadio.
