PIX11 Partners With The Broadway Channel Presented By Broadway.Com To Air Special On November 7 At 11pm
PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting’s New York flagship station, has partnered with The Broadway Channel to present “Broadway Profiles”, a series of primetime specials about Broadway hosted by PIX11’s Emmy-Award winning anchor Tamsen Fadal. The latest installment, “Broadway Profiles: Legends of the Fall” will air on PIX11 on Saturday, November 7 at 11pm.
The leaves are changing, and so is the face of Broadway this fall. The new season has something for everyone – singing, dancing, rock, rap, magic and Miami Sound Machine. Host Tamsen Fadal sits down with the new legends of the Great White Way.
- Tamsen gets to know the stars of the new musical SCHOOL OF ROCK. She’ll find out how Broadway actor Alex Brightman channels his inner-Jack Black, and she’ll get a music lesson from the uber-talented kids starring in this new musical by Andrew Lloyd Weber.
- Get ready to do the Conga. Tamsen goes backstage with the stars of ON YOUR FEET, the new bio-musical about pop icon Gloria Estefan. Tamsen also takes a tap lesson with the director and cast of DAMES AT SEA.
- Broadway Profiles also features amazing interviews with deaf and hearing cast members from the revival of SPRING AWAKENING. We’ll tell you how the coolest show of the season, HAMILTON, continues to break records. You’ll also see some mind blowing magic tricks from one of the stars of THE ILLUSIONISTS.
- We’ll take this show on the road, too! Tamsen heads downtown to Off-Broadway for two amazing one-man shows at the Cherry Lane Theatre in the West Village. She sits down with Daily Show correspondent Hassan Minaj about his solo project, HOMECOMING KING, and she talks with legendary comedian Colin Quinn about his love letter to the greatest city in the world, THE NEW YORK STORY.
PIX11 has set up a special section of the station’s website, pix11.com/backstageonbroadway, where the original on-air content will be housed and-live streamed. The hashtag #BACKSTAGEONBROADWAY has been created to create social engagement with fans through PIX11’s extensive social media channels.
