Tanae Howard Named FOX59’s NewsPoint Anchor

The new face of Indy’s late local news

January 26, 2016 – WXIN, Tribune Broadcasting’s FOX affiliate in Indiana today announced Tanae Howard has been named the anchor for one of Indianapolis’ favorite late local news programs, NewsPoint, which airs every night at 11:00 PM on WXIN, FOX59.

“We are proud of the work that Tanae has done as a reporter and anchor at FOX59,” said WXIN V.P. of News, Kerri Cavanaugh.  “Her unique perspective on local news and her ability to tell the stories of the people she meets along the way has set her apart and we are thrilled to have her as the face of NewsPoint.”

Tanae joined the FOX 59 news team as an anchor/reporter in December 2013. She started her career on the news desk at WSB-TV in Atlanta. Tanae also worked as an anchor/reporter in North Carolina where she covered everything from political scandals to tropical storms.

“I am excited to take on this challenge,” said Tanae. “NewsPoint has a fast paced format that allows me to deliver all the days’ news and not waste our viewers’ time.”
