The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York Chapter to Honor Hyman for 25-Years of Work in the Television Industry
NEW YORK, November 6, 2018—PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting’s New York flagship television station is pleased to announce David Hyman, the station’s Vice President, Marketing & Creative Services, will be inducted into the NY NATAS Silver Circle.
This prestigious honor, bestowed by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York Chapter, recognizes individuals who have devoted a quarter of a century or more to the television industry and have made significant contributions to the New York television market.
Hyman will be inducted along with Scott Clark (WABC-TV, retired); David Friend (CBS Television Stations), Dr. Max Gomez (WCBS-TV), Christopher Goutman (Director/Producer/Writer), Curt Gowdy, Jr. (SNY), Sue Simmons (WNBC-TV, retired) and Jacquie Walker (WIVB-TV). Diane Sawyer (ABC News) and Chuck Scarborough (WNBC-TV) will be inducted into the NY NATAS Gold Circle for 50 years of service. The ceremony will be held in New York City at The Lambs Club, 132 West 44th Street on Thursday, November 29, 2018.
Hyman, who joined PIX11 in 2014, is responsible for all marketing, brand development, creative direction, production, media strategy and execution for the station. He leads a team of a dozen producers, designers, social media strategists and is the principal architect of PIX11 New York’s Very Own brand.
Prior to joining PIX11, Hyman served as Vice President, Creative Director for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and as Vice President Creative Services & Programming for WNBC 4 New York.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Hyman has won many prestigious awards including fifteen Promax International Gold Medallion awards, sixteen New York Emmy® awards, seven New York State Broadcaster awards, the GLAAD Media award and NATPE’s National Iris award for best public service campaign in North America/the United States.
