PIX11 Wins 4 New York State Broadcasters Awards Including Best Newscast, Best Hard News, Best Feature and Best Documentary

PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting’s New York CW affiliate, has been awarded 4 New York State Broadcasters Association News Awards including Outstanding Hard News Story, Outstanding Feature News Story and Outstanding Locally Originated Newscast (PIX News At Five.) The station, which garnered more awards than any other in the region, was also honored with Outstanding Documentary Program for its special, “Sandy: From Heartbreak to Hope.”

The winners were announced at a ceremony on June 24th at the Sagamore Resort Hotel, on Lake George in Bolton Landing.  The annual NYSBA Awards recognize the best in New York State broadcast journalism. Founded in 1955, the New York State Broadcasters Association (NYSBA) offers a variety of services to help the broadcasters of New York State better serve their communities; NYSBA also represents the interests of television and radio stations before the NYS Senate and Assembly, the US Congress, and various other legislative bodies.
