Patrick Mason Named PIX11 News Executive Producer

Award Winning Producer Joins PIX11 To Oversee 5, 6 And 10pm Newscasts

NEW YORK, N.Y.—December 11, 2017– PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting’s New York flagship television station, has named Patrick Mason Executive Producer for PIX11 News. Mason will be responsible for the strategy and content for PIX11’s evening newscasts at 5, 6 and 10pm, on all platforms. He joins PIX11 on December 11 and will report to Amy Waldman, News Director.

Mason was formerly an Executive Producer at Al Jazeera America where he oversaw the weekend newscasts. He has also held producer positions at WNYW, WWOR and News 12. Mason joins PIX11 from “Good Morning America” where he was night editor and part of the GMA team to be honored with a Daytime Emmy Award. He began his media career in Youngstown, Ohio as a news producer for the CBS affiliate WKBN.

Mason holds a BA in Telecommunications from Youngstown State University.
