Late news viewers were split evenly among the top three stations, with FOX 2 News at 9 at #2, just a tenth of a point behind KSDK’s (NBC) normal 10 p.m. newscast (8 non-Olympic nights.) “Despite 18 days of Olympic competition, FOX 2 News continued to serve the viewers with breaking news, weather, and solid enterprise reporting,” said Spencer Koch, President and General Manager for FOX 2/KPLR 11. “We maintained our number 1 position in most dayparts and were just a rating point away from tying the NBC affiliate Sign On – Sign Off in Adults 25-54,” he added.

In Adults 25-54, newscasts for both KTVI and KPLR 11, Tribune Broadcasting’s St. Louis CW affiliate, increased news audience year-to-year.
