KFOR-TV Newschannel Wins Heartland Regional Emmy Award

Station Honored for Best News Series

July 18, 2017 – KFOR-TV NewsChannel 4, Tribune Broadcasting’s NBC affiliate in Oklahoma City, is pleased to announce it has been recognized with a Heartland Regional Emmy award for its reporting on a police officer who was convicted of raping multiple women.

The series, “Cop Convicted: The Daniel Holtzclaw Verdict” was honored as best Specialty Assignment Report – News Series.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) and the Emmy Award honor outstanding achievement in the television industry. The NATAS Heartland Chapter includes television markets in Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska.

With 19 chapters across the country, NATAS is the only non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievement, raising industry standards, and improving the quality of television.
