Indy’s WXIN and WTTV Announce Exclusive Partnership with the Indianapolis Colts

One of The NFL’s Strongest Brands Joins Forces with Tribune Broadcasting’s Indianapolis Fox/CBS Duopoly  

The Indianapolis Colts and Tribune Broadcasting today announced a multi-year agreement making WXIN-TV and WTTV-TV the exclusive Indianapolis Colts broadcast partners. Beginning next season, all of the Colts pre-season games will be broadcast on either WXIN-TV or WTTV-TV. In addition, Colts-produced programs such as The Coaches Show with Chuck Pagano and Colts Up Close will air on WXIN-TV and WTTV-TV.

In addition to the broadcast partnership agreement, WXIN-TV and WTTV-TV will receive premium Lucas Oil Field branding exposure and various other team marketing assets including radio, print, digital and social media.

“We are thrilled to be back on WTTV and WXIN,” commented Jay Souers, Senior Vice President of Sponsorship Sales for the Colts.  “For many years when the Colts first came to town, we broadcast our pre-season games on WTTV, and now we are back.  The combination of coverage from WTTV and Fox59 will also provide excellent exposure for our Community Relations and Marketing efforts.  The station’s community goals align perfectly with the Colts.  This will be a great partnership moving forward together” he continued.

WXIN-TV currently airs the NFC games in the Indianapolis market, and beginning Jan. 1, 2015, WTTV-TV will broadcast AFC games. Local Colts fans will then have a new home for everything “Colts” with more than a dozen live Colts games per year on WXIN-TV and WTTV-TV, the stations will also carry two out of every three Super Bowls starting with Super Bowl L (50) from Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco.

The Colts and the news teams of WXIN-TV and WTTV-TV will also be partnering on several community initiatives and projects to benefit organizations and citizens throughout Central Indiana.
