19 Apr Bieber, Cyrus, Pitbull Among Top Names Performing & Saluting Teachers In “Real Change: Artists For Education” Tuesday, April 23rd On WDCW-TV, DC50 The CW In Washington
Many of today’s top musical artists will be performing and supporting the efforts of our nations teachers in “Real Change: Artists for Education” a one-hour special to be broadcast on Tuesday, April 23 on WDCW-TV, DC50, the CW in Washington from 9-10PM.
Pitbull, Justin Bieber, Quincy Jones, Miley Cyrus, LMFAO, Lady Antebellum, Jason Mraz, and Glee’s Matthew Morrison are among the performers to be featured on “Real Change.” Pitbull’s one-on-one interview is accompanied by a 12-camera performance honoring 2,000 students at a high school in Miami; Miley Cyrus performed and thanked a teacher at an elementary school in Nashville; and Justin Bieber gave an intimate performance to a select group of inspiring, philanthropic students in Los Angeles. Also featured in this special, Jason Mraz debuts his most recent single, “93 Million Miles.”
“’Real Change’ promotes a great cause while featuring some of the hottest artists of today’s music,” said WDCW-TV Vice President and General Manager Ashley Messina. “We are very pleased to offer this to the DC community, especially in light of Teacher Appreciation Week which is coming up May 6-10.”
“It’s the most important job in the world. I think teachers everyday change children’s lives,” said Grammy winning artist Hillary Scott from the chart-topping country band Lady Antebellum. “Real Change” will promote and celebrate teachers through its partnership with Adopt-A-Classroom, as featured celebrities adopt several classrooms from Miami to Nashville. The ultimate goal of “Real Change” is to inspire every American to get involved, donate, and make a difference by creating REAL CHANGE.
